How to setup Google Search Console on shopify website?

Step 1: Sign Up or Log In to Google Search Console

Once you have a Google account, visit the Google Search Console website (https://search.google.com/search-console/) and sign in with your Google credentials. If you already have a Google account, simply log in to access Search Console.

  5. Set up the search console via DNS using your domain name provider such as GoDaddy or Namecheap.

Choose the verification method that works best for you and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. But here we use only one method using an HTML tag that is easy to use and anyone can easily set up a search console for their Shopify website.

You just have to select the HTML tag and it generates the HTML code, Now you have to copy that HTML code. And put it on your website’s <head> tag. Now you have to go to Website’s Admin panel. By going to Online store -> Themes, clicking on the three dots […], and click on the Edit code.

Now, simply find the theme.liquid on the right handside , find the <head> section, click Enter and paste the code you copied from “Google Search Console” right between the <head></head> section. Click to Save! Now You’re done with the code editing part.
